A Chronicle of Attempts to Bid for the Billion Dollar Contract for Boat Service at Niagara Falls

Boat service has been provided at Niagara Falls since 1846.  The Province of Ontario and the State of New York lease the land on each side of the Niagara River to a third party so that boat rides can be offered at Niagara Falls.  These rights in Canada (Ontario) are granted by The Niagara Parks Commission.  These rights in the United States (New York) are granted by the New York Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation

William Michael Windsor has attempted to submit a bid to The Niagara Parks Commission to operate boat service at Niagara Falls, Ontario since 2005.

After a year of non-stop efforts, the government of Ontario announced on October 28, 2009 that Windsor and all other interested bidders will be given the opportunity to bid!  This is incredibly gratifying!

William Michael Windsor is also attempting to submit a bid to the New York Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation to operate boat service at Niagara Falls, New York.  The details of those efforts will be chronicled on this web site.

This story is much more than the attempts to bid on a lucrative contract.
